I want my jewellery to express joy, personality and simplicity. The ideas for my jewellery are drawn from my childhood memories, my living surroundings and the people I live with. I want to blur the definitions of family jewellery, semi-precious jewellery and design jewellery by creating jewellery that contains features of all of these.
The names of my jewellery often refer to the starting point of the design process: the Marikki collection was named after a character in Astrid Lindgren stories and the Paluu design was born when my love for horses from twenty years ago rekindled. The Sohvi pendant got its name from the little girl for whom the first rattle-shaped piece of jewellery was made.
